Sleeping in the agency for the second night was harder than the first night. After a Monday of painting and furniture swapping, everyone was deathly tired, but the full day’s adrenaline was competing with the exhaustion.

Looking up into the beams above the 3rd floor, it felt huge and scary in the living space. It was overwhelming, just as it felt on the very first day of 12. And there was time to pause and wonder again what we’re doing, and think about the projects that need to be finished. Too many thoughts.

At night the wall of black & white portraits seemed like haunted house photos, every one gazing at me with some peculiar message in the 3am dim. They were benevolent apparitions though, a family of quirky conspirators.

In the morning, they were the first thing I saw and it was a nice way to wake up.
